Knof Designs Tokyo Apartment-Studio for DJ and Producer
Japanese architecture firm knof has completed 'Drifting - Casa y estudio Fusuma-e', a 91-square-meter apartment and studio in central Tokyo for a music producer and DJ. The project, curated by Miwa Negoro, aims to create a relaxing retreat that balances urban views with nature, light, and craftsmanship. Key architects Kaori Kikushima and Ikki Nagasawa led the design, with engineering contributions from Ikki Kobayashi + Fujie Textile and lighting by ModuleX. Materials were sourced from Maruni. The space features views of both centennial trees and the Tokyo skyline, designed to offer depth and connection to the environment despite its central location. The project is categorized as a renovation and apartment interior, completed in 2026. Photographs were taken by Akiya Maekawa.
