Kiss Branding Unveils Civic Identity for Leeds' Aire Park

Kiss Branding has created an extensive brand identity for Aire Park, the largest urban green space in Leeds, as part of a fifty-year vision by European developer Vastint. This initiative reimagines twenty-four acres of Leeds South Bank into the city's main public park. The visual identity, built around the concept 'Stronger by Nature,' reflects Yorkshire's industrial strength while enhancing accessible green infrastructure. At its core is an AP monogram, featuring sculptural flared serif strokes and a fluid leaf terminal, designed for integration within the urban landscape. This monogram appears on various materials: carved into Portland stone, fashioned as brass wayfinding symbols on emerald tiles, and embossed in gold foil on paper. Environmental signage employs monoline navigational maps and directional totems with architectural grid coordinates, leading visitors to cultural sites such as The Tetley and transit routes. Kinetic sequences transition the AP wordmark into grid animations for digital displays, while vibrant lamppost banners and seasonal posters showcase amber, coral, and forest green hues. This project exemplifies how civic place-making can merge high-quality editorial design with sustainable urban growth.
