Kirill Neiezhmakov's AI-Enhanced Timelapse Journey Across 10 European Cities

Ukrainian photographer Kirill Neiezhmakov undertook an ambitious timelapse project spanning 10 cities across Europe, from Seville in southern Spain to northern Germany, amassing over 100,000 images. He utilized AI-driven video-to-video morphing techniques with models like Pixverse, Kling, and Seedance 2.0. His journey commenced in mid-July in Seville, where temperatures soared to 44°C (111°F). Unfortunately, his bicycle was stolen on the first night in Lyon, leading him to depend on the Vélo'v bike system. A second bike was later taken in Rotterdam. Neiezhmakov employed a Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift lens to minimize perspective distortion and a Vertecfoto GH-V5 geared head for accurate camera positioning. Each city required about three days of filming, producing 40-60 sequences of 150-300 frames each, totaling several terabytes of data. Post-production for each video lasted three to four weeks, involving RAW processing, color grading, stabilization in After Effects, music selection, AI morphing transitions, sound design, and color finishing. Neiezhmakov considers this project the most challenging he has ever undertaken as a solo, self-funded creator.
