For $1.4 million, the Kip House, located at 775 San Diego Road in Berkeley, California, is on the market. This property, situated opposite John Hinkel Park, was designed by architect Donald Olsen and commissioned in 1952 by Arthur Frederic Kip, a physicist at UC Berkeley. It gained recognition in Arts & Architecture in 1954. Since the Kip estate sold it in 2013, the house has had a single owner. A protégé of Walter Gropius, Olsen has created over 60 structures in the Bay Area.
