Kiosco Verdure: Contemporary Chinese Courtyard Garden Pavilion by Haus of hu

The Kiosco Verdure, designed by architecture firm Haus of hu, is a contemporary reinterpretation of a traditional Chinese courtyard garden, situated on a narrow riverside edge. The project, curated by Nina Vuga, covers an area of 70 square meters and was completed in 2025. The design team is led by Ellen Wenyi Hu, with technical support from Ao Tang, who also serves as the principal architect alongside Hu. The pavilion, categorized as a café and public building, was photographed by Runzi Zhu. The project description emphasizes its role as a modern translation of a courtyard garden, integrating the surrounding landscape into its architectural language. The Kiosco Verdure exemplifies how contemporary architecture can adapt historical typologies to urban waterfront contexts, offering a public space that merges nature and built form.
