KINDL Berlin Reveals Four Autumn Shows for Berlin Art Week 2026

exhibition · 2026-09-10

Berlin's KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art will open four exhibitions in September as part of Berlin Art Week 2026. The programme includes Mischa Kuball's "boiler house (Kesselhaus)", Kira Freije's "Between Sunlight" in Maschinenhaus M1, NEOZOON's "together" in the M1 VideoSpace, and Thu-Van Tran's "Write As Beasts Scream at Night" in Maschinenhaus M2. Later in the month, Xavier Le Roy's "Temporary Title, 2026 – In the Middle, Somewhat Rehearsed" will be shown in Maschinenhaus M0. Kuball, a conceptual artist born in Düsseldorf in 1959 and still based there, works with light to investigate architectural spaces alongside social and political discourse. His projects reflect on sociocultural structures and produce interventions that highlight or reinterpret architectural history. For the KINDL's Kesselhaus, Kuball is developing a new work. The announcement positions the KINDL's autumn season within Berlin Art Week 2026, with the four openings concentrated in September and Le Roy's piece following later that month.
