Kimbell Art Museum Open Call for Analog Photography Showcase
On Saturday, December 12, from noon to 3 p.m., the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth invites lens-based artists who utilize analog methods such as film photography, tintype, and cyanotype to participate in the 'Local Lens: Analog Photography Showcase.' This event aligns with the exhibition 'Photography’s First Century: Masterworks from the Bibliothèque nationale de France,' which commemorates the 200th anniversary of photography, originating from Joseph Nicéphore Niépce's heliograph in 1827. Six artists will be chosen to present their works alongside artifacts of their analog techniques. Attending artists will receive a $150 honorarium. Applications are due by October 19, with results announced on November 13, submitted through a Google form. This exhibition is part of a series scheduled for fall 2026.
