KiefferWoodtli Bring Tree and Solar Data to Life in Sound and Sculpture, With Paris Show AXES:TOTUM
Based in New York City, Swiss artists Sara Kieffer and Lucien Woodtli craft installations that incorporate measurements from both living organisms and celestial entities, utilizing light and sound. Their work, Arboreal Serenade, debuted at Art Basel 2025 and is currently displayed at the Enea Tree Museum, showcasing a Japanese Pagoda Tree with visuals and audio that react to the movement of sap and light. For Arboreal Severance, commissioned by Swissnex during Climate Week New York City 2025, they created a soundscape from the sap flow of a 101-year-old Pagoda Tree at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Their solo exhibition AXES at Alvarez Chida in Mexico City highlighted NASA solar data. They will unveil AXES:TOTUM in Paris from 20 to 25 October 2026, featuring various art forms and a performance on 20 October at 7:30 pm.
