Kid, Sertaç Dirik's First Solo Restaurant, Opens on Frith Street in Soho
Sertaç Dirik, originally from Mangal II, has launched his inaugural solo dining venture, Kid, located at 55 Frith Street in Soho, in collaboration with David Carter. Six years ago, Dirik returned from Copenhagen to transform the family business alongside his brother Ferhat, successfully placing it among the Top 50 at the National Restaurant Awards. The restaurant's entrance on Bateman Street showcases a goat stamp, while Dirik operates the grill within. Designed by Box 9, the establishment merges two units of a building dating back to 1897, utilizing 73,000 K-Briqs. Notable menu items include tombik pide, battered courgette flower snacks, meze, skewers, and mountain tea rice pudding paired with a şeftali margarita.
