Khoy Debuts Zip-Open Sofa Bed Made from Two Foam Slabs
Khoy, a Finnish furniture brand, has introduced its flagship sofa bed, which effortlessly transitions from a seat to a bed by simply unzipping and unfolding two slabs of polyurethane foam, eliminating the intricate mechanisms found in traditional designs. Available in single, double, queen, and king sizes, this product draws inspiration from 1970s sofas and focuses on providing true comfort for both lounging and sleeping. Khoy points out that typical sofa beds can be uncomfortable and cumbersome, often compromising aesthetics. The company emphasizes its simplified design prioritizing comfort. Additionally, Khoy was the pioneer in vacuum-packing sofas for easier transport. The sofa bed comes in 12 fabric options and is designed by creative director Andras Kelemen, featured in Dezeen Showroom. Dimensions range from 1000 x 1000 mm for the single to 2000 x 900 mm for the king.
