Keita Miyazaki's 'From Water To Form' Opens Across Venice During Biennale
Keita Miyazaki, a Japanese artist, will showcase his solo exhibition titled "From Water To Form" at the Museo d'Arte Orientale, Ca' Pesaro in Venice from May 9 to September 13, 2026, coinciding with the 61st Venice Biennale. This exhibition marks the conclusion of a trilogy that began with site-specific installations at Villa Giulia (2025) and Palazzo Tozzoni (2025-2026). Curated by Pier Paolo Scelsi, Ilaria Cera, and Riccardo Freddo, it interacts with the original Nino Barbantini installation (1926-1928) throughout various museum spaces. Miyazaki's small sculptures, crafted from industrial waste, engage in a conversation with Edo-period artifacts. He earned his PhD from Tokyo University of the Arts and his MA from the Royal College of Art. Additionally, a modular public sculpture will be installed at CREA Cantieri del Contemporaneo on Giudecca island.
