Kauan Lippi Designs Cobalt-and-White Identity for Korean Skincare Label Bellecare
Kauan Lippi, a Brazilian designer, along with Estúdio Lippi, developed the brand identity for Bellecare, a skincare brand from South Korea, in Seoul. The visual identity departs from the typical botanical greens, earthy tones, and metallic foils found in modern beauty packaging, opting instead for a striking combination of vibrant cobalt blue and crisp white; in Korean culture, blue represents water, renewal, and natural harmony. The design features a precise Neue grotesk typeface, including a custom architectural tweak to the letter L's horizontal terminal for enhanced legibility, complementing the Bellecare logotype and a compact circular (B) monogram. English product labels are paired with Hangul text stating "For every skin type." The minimalist packaging, including a frosted glass serum dropper, cylindrical micellar water, and blue hand cream tube, displays only the brand logo and product name on the front, while ingredient details and chemical information are relocated to side panels and a QR code on the carton. Motion designer Carson Triwer translated this aesthetic into dynamic media with smooth transitions that reflect the formulas' viscosity. This initiative aims to ensure Bellecare achieves instant shelf visibility and clinical precision across both digital platforms and physical products.
