Katinka Bock's 'High & Dry' Takes Over Le Corbusier's Maison La Roche During Art Basel Paris Week
Franco-German artist Katinka Bock, born in 1976, has installed 'High & Dry' at the Maison La Roche in Paris, running from 13 October to 31 October 2026. Curated by Raphaël Giannesini and organized with Galerie Jocelyn Wolff, the show places Bock's sculptures — made from natural materials as well as bronze, in a practice close to Arte Povera — in dialogue with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret's purist villa. The house was designed between 1923 and 1925 for the collector Raoul La Roche and is listed as UNESCO World Heritage; it now houses the Fondation Le Corbusier. Its two-part layout pairs private apartments with a large gallery once intended for the patron's masterpieces. The correspondences begin on the ground floor and continue through the rooms, producing what the curator calls 'apparitions d'œuvres' rather than discrete works. The exhibition coincides with Art Basel Paris.
