Kateryna Lysovenko's First Major Nordic Show Opens at Helsingborg Konsthall
The exhibition "Everything is Possible" by Kateryna Lysovenko is currently showcased at Helsingborg Konsthall in Sweden, representing her inaugural significant display in the Nordic region. Following her departure from Odesa due to the Russian invasion, she has settled in Vienna. The exhibition presents luminous oil paintings in a minimalist setting. The initial trio of artworks, including The Milky Way (2024), is arranged to resemble a staircase. Political Animal (2023) illustrates a predator alongside a llama-like figure, while Die junge Wienerinnen und ich (2026) features the artist with new acquaintances. A smaller area displays symbolic testimonies of war. Lysovenko incorporates elements of Symbolism and Greek mythology, particularly in The End of Imperialism (2023). Helsingborg Konsthall was established as an independent contemporary art space in spring 2026.
