Kate Berlant's HBO Special 'Parmesan' Premieres October 16 with LA After-Party
On October 16, HBO will launch Kate Berlant's new one-hour special titled Parmesan. In this special, Berlant opens up about her queer awakening in her 30s and even shares a moment about her “lesbian boyfriend” during an egg-freezing session. Her partner, Naomi McPherson, a musician, is an executive producer for the project. A preview screening took place at Brain Dead Studios in Los Angeles, followed by a vibrant after-party at Plaza Nightclub. Berlant, dressed in Bottega Veneta, shared with Vogue that she felt "exceptionally nervous" about watching the special with friends. The event drew many figures from LA's music and comedy scenes, including a reunion of Hannah Einbinder and Meg Stalter, while others like Vanessa Bayer and Aidy Bryant mingled nearby, enjoying delicious bites and drinks.
