Kasper Salto Designs Vind Series for Louisiana Museum
Kasper Salto, a Danish designer, has just released the Vind Series, a new outdoor furniture line for the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, Denmark, created by Fritz Hansen. This collection replaces the Ice chair, which Salto designed back in 2003 and was used at the museum for 16 years. He felt the Ice chair's complex design didn't suit the coastal setting, so he aimed for a more harmonious look. The Vind Series, meaning 'wind' in Danish, features aluminum inspired by sailboats and hand-woven seats made from nearly 500 feet of durable polyester cord. With pieces like an armchair, side chair, and dining table in forest green and misty gray, Salto believes this is his most polished work yet.
