Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno Opens Up About New Album 'Act III' and Life After Tom Meighan

In a special interview with the BBC, Serge Pizzorno, the frontman of Kasabian, spoke about the upcoming release of their ninth album, 'Act III', set to launch in 10 days. This marks their first studio album since the exit of former lead singer Tom Meighan in 2020 following his assault conviction. Pizzorno, who has taken over as lead vocalist, highlighted the band's resilience and recalled a memorable performance at Finsbury Park in June. The conversation took place in his studio located in rural Leicestershire, where he follows a disciplined work schedule. He shared insights on tracks like 'Soulmate', dedicated to his wife, and 'Hippie Sunshine', which critiques tech oligarchs. The album features melodic influences from Elton John and 60s music. Kasabian plans to tour the UK in December, and should 'Act III' reach the top of the charts, they will break Led Zeppelin's record. Pizzorno is already in the process of creating a tenth album.
