Karoliina Hellberg on New Paintings, Group Shows, and Upcoming Solo Exhibition
Finnish artist Karoliina Hellberg, who is showcased by London’s Elizabeth Xi Bauer and Helsinki’s Galerie Anhava, recently discussed her art ahead of the group show "No Hay Banda" in Milan. This exhibition, which is in collaboration with Conceptual Fine Arts (CFA), will be running until July 3, 2026. Hellberg has created five new pieces influenced by curator Maria do Carmo M. P. de Pontes' reflections on idleness and David Lynch's film Mulholland Drive. The show also features works by Vandria Borari, Petra Feriancová, and Sofia Silva. Her art explores the physical and mental aspects of spaces, often reflecting human presence. In 2024, she’ll have a solo show called "Labyrinth" and will join "Nordic Noir" at the British Museum in 2025.
