Karen Ohanyan's 'Delicate Matter' Opens at National Gallery of Armenia
The 'Delicate Matter' exhibition, showcasing recent creations by Karen Ohanyan, is being held at the National Gallery of Armenia in partnership with Atamian Hovsepian Curatorial Practice. Tamar Hovsepian serves as the curator for this event, which is part of the gallery's Prospectations initiative aimed at promoting contemporary Armenian artists. The Sharjah Art Foundation and Atamian Hovsepian Curatorial Practice jointly commissioned the artworks. Following its display in Armenia, the exhibition will move to Sharjah, UAE, to be part of the Sharjah Biennial 17, running from January 21 to June 17, 2027. The title 'Delicate Matter' reflects the complex themes of power, masculinity, violence, and vulnerability, alongside the tangible essence of the artworks.
