Kaia Gerber's Re/Done Capsule Collection Draws on Jane Birkin and French Librarian Style

Kaia Gerber, the model and actress, has teamed up with Re/Done, a denim brand based in Los Angeles, to unveil Kaia Vol. 1, a capsule collection consisting of 60 pieces set to debut next week. Since early this year, Gerber has served as an investor, creative collaborator, and advisory board member, working closely with Meredith Kahn, the brand's head of design. This collection goes beyond the typical T-shirts and jeans, featuring bohemian tie-front blouses, cropped polos, a silky babydoll dress, pinstriped blazers, a leather trench coat, vintage shearling, and an officer's coat. Inspired by a 'French librarian circa 1969' and Jane Birkin's style, it includes standout items like the crimson Walker dress and the oversized Worken jacket. The campaign, shot by Bella Newman and styled by Taylor McNeil under Jen Brill's creative direction, portrays Gerber as a librarian in an urban apartment. Gerber, a longtime fan of Re/Done, expressed excitement about her creative involvement, while Kahn highlighted their shared aesthetics and influences from New York and California. The collection is designed to resonate with diverse women, from feminine to tomboy styles, reflecting the deep connection between Gerber and Kahn, who described their work together as a 'labor of love.'
