K architectures completes 17-meter equestrian hall at historic Hennebont National Stud Farm

K architectures has designed a new equestrian performance hall at the historic Hennebont National Stud Farm in Saint-Martin-de-Mailloc, France. The 1,464-square-meter structure rises 17 meters high within the Cour du Puits courtyard, dramatically altering the site's skyline. Architects deliberately avoided contemporary gestures in favor of classical vernacular forms that resonate with the location's historic character. The building's lofty silhouette soars above Napoleonic-era stables while echoing the vast slate roofs of traditional longères. The project was completed in 2025 as part of the sports architecture category. Structural studies were handled by EVP INGENIERIE, with technical studies by AREA études. Study and construction architect Margaux Alépée contributed to the project, which was curated by Hadir Al Koshta. Multiple manufacturers provided products including CULAUD, FRANCE TRIBUNES, GLC, LAUTECH, MAHO, Pigeon, SPECTACULAIRES, SPIE, and TALLOT.
