JW Anderson and Wedgwood Release Volume II Ceramic Mugs Inspired by Ancient Greek Pottery
Volume II, a new collection of ceramic mugs, has been unveiled by Wedgwood and JW Anderson, following their earlier collaboration on Lucie Rie's 1964 pieces. This collection draws inspiration from fifth-century Greek mugs found in Anderson's collection, bridging the gap between ancient and contemporary design. Crafted from Jasper stoneware in Barlaston, England, the mugs showcase ribbed edges and a matte surface. Emma Glynn, Wedgwood's creative director, highlighted the intricate color palette, which includes Mercury Blue, Jasper Blue, Dark Brown, Terracotta, Marsh Green, Sage Green, and an exclusive Meadow Green and Shadow Grey for Harrods. Priced at £305 for a pair, the collection can be purchased through JW Anderson, Wedgwood, and Harrods.
