Julie Glassberg's 'L'être et le néon' Illuminates Subcultures at Carré de Baudoin

French photographer Julie Glassberg's exhibition 'L'être et le néon' at the Carré de Baudoin in Paris explores neon light as both a plastic and cultural signifier, focusing on communities that transform everyday life into expressive terrain. The show features three series: 'Stayin' Alive,' documenting regulars of dance tea parties; 'Black Label Bike Club,' highlighting enthusiasts who build unconventional bicycles for playful, anarchic jousts; and 'Dekotora,' showcasing Japanese trucks elaborately customized with motifs, chrome, and lights.
