Julia Yako and Laura Marino Complete Eucalyptus House in Buenos Aires Subdivision

Architects Julia Yako and Laura Marino have completed a 200-square-meter contemporary residence in Martínez, a neighborhood north of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The house, finished in 2024, is situated within a subdivision originally landscaped by Carlos Thays on an early 20th-century estate. Its design is defined by a large white eucalyptus tree, which organizes the project around an interior courtyard. The volume embraces this central space, creating a cohesive relationship with the landscape. The technical team included Manuel Lanus and Rosa Oks, while Errecon handled general construction. Photographer Javier Agustín Rojas documented the project, and Valentina Díaz served as curator. Located just meters from the Río de la Plata, the house integrates its natural surroundings into its architectural concept.
