Juan Gordon's Short Film 'Street Frames' Documents Artist José 'Busta' Bustamante

Colombian filmmaker Juan Gordon has released the short film 'Street Frames,' which focuses on multimedia artist José 'Busta' Bustamante. Bustamante, originally from Colombia and now based in Philadelphia, works across graffiti and other media. The project explores his artistic practice, connection to Hip-Hop culture, and personal journey. Filming took place in August across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Philadelphia locations like Kensington. After screening at various international festivals throughout 2025, including the Hip Hop Film Fest in New York City, the film is now publicly available on YouTube. Gordon, who has known Bustamante for over 15 years, aimed to capture the artist's creative philosophy and community engagement. The film also touches on comparisons between graffiti scenes in Philadelphia, Trenton, and Bogotá, noting Bogotá's status as a graffiti hub and upcoming infrastructure changes. Gordon is currently developing a narrative feature set in a future Bogotá.
