Joseph Jeantet and Pierre Yermia in Dialogue at Galerie de l'Europe

From June 2 to 27, 2026, Galerie de l'Europe in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris, presents a two-person exhibition pairing painter Joseph Jeantet with sculptor Pierre Yermia. Jeantet, based in London, shows a new series titled 'Ombre' featuring pure pigment on canvas and handmade paper, exploring the expressive capacity of color through deep blues (ultramarine, lapis, nocturnal) marked by charcoal scratches and luminous breaths. Yermia, a graduate of Beaux-Arts de Paris and Toulouse, contributes bronze animal sculptures—deer, horses, felines, birds—that capture suspended movement and grace, such as 'Cerf IV' with antlers like vegetal architecture and 'Envolée' birds appearing to lift off. The exhibition highlights a silent conversation between Jeantet's fragile, unstable pigment fields and Yermia's lightened bronze forms, with green and dark patinas echoing the blue expanses. Both artists address how form emerges from matter, creating presence that is elusive yet tangible. The show runs Tuesday to Saturday, 11am-1pm and 2pm-7pm.
