Jordan Wolfson's Gagosian Debut to Evoke 9/11 in First New York Solo Show
Jordan Wolfson is set to debut his first solo exhibition in New York with Gagosian on September 18, 2026, located at 555 West 24th Street. According to Allyson Spellacy from Gagosian, the exhibition will reflect on the events of 9/11. The 45-year-old artist is crafting sculptures mounted on aluminum that incorporate photographs from both his personal life and online archives, including images of the Twin Towers and Victorian pornography, embellished with barbed spikes. He refers to these visuals as "collective paradoxes." Wolfson, born in 1980, received his BFA from RISD and gained recognition at the 2006 Whitney Biennial. He was added to Gagosian's roster in 2022, alongside David Zwirner and Sadie Coles HQ, and is also working on robotic artworks for a future exhibition.
