John Howe's 'Fantastic Voyages' Exhibition Across Four Heritage Sites in France

CapAtlantique La Baule-Guérande Agglo presents 'Fantastic Voyages: Through the Art of John Howe', a unique exhibition trail across four heritage sites in La Baule, Guérande, Herbignac, and Batz-sur-Mer, running until November 1. The exhibition features nearly 150 original and digital drawings and paintings by John Howe, the renowned artist known for his work on Peter Jackson's 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' trilogies. Curated by Diane and Jean-Jacques Launier since 2024, the trail includes the Chapelle Sainte-Anne in La Baule, the Château de Ranrouët in Herbignac, the Chapelle des Mûriers in Batz-sur-Mer, and the Musée de la Porte Saint-Michel in Guérande. Each site explores a different theme: 'Écrin des légendes', 'Nature souveraine', 'Sillage des légendes arthuriennes', and 'Châteaux, cités et forteresses'. Visitors can obtain a free exploration notebook to stamp at each location. The project aims to make culture accessible and highlight the region's built heritage.
