Johan Sundberg Arkitektur Completes Cross-Shaped Pine House in Swedish Woodland
Pine House, a summer residence spanning 152 square meters, has been finalized by Johan Sundberg Arkitektur on a north-facing incline of the Hallandsåsen ridge in southern Sweden. Its cross-shaped design provides vistas of both the surrounding greenery and the sea. Developed in partnership with the client, the house contains three identically sized bedrooms suitable for family use. The building features a glue-laminated timber framework and untreated cross-laminated spruce panels, complemented by untreated vertical heartwood pine cladding. A spacious deck offers a protected walkway and a designated area for outdoor meals. Inside, the open kitchen and dining space is divided from the living area by a skylit corridor, showcasing exposed spruce, concrete floors, and light green lava-stone tiles.
