Joey Holder's 'The Woosphere' at Wrocław Contemporary Museum

exhibition · 2026-09-02

On 24 September 2026, the Wrocław Contemporary Museum will debut Joey Holder's exhibition titled 'The Woosphere.' A guided tour, featuring both Holder and curator Małgorzata Miśniakiewicz, is scheduled for 25 September. This exhibition humorously reimagines the noosphere, a term introduced by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and Vladimir Vernadsky, likening it to the internet and shared consciousness. It showcases characters such as Cerebral, Golem, Jean, Lam, and Pierre, created through programmed language models, who engage in discussions about simulation theory, quantum mechanics, and disembodied intelligence. Holder, pursuing a PhD at Birmingham City University, has previously exhibited at Harvard and the Design Museum in London, among other biennials. Miśniakiewicz, a curator since 2026, earned her PhD from the Courtauld Institute of Art.
