Joana Vasconcelos curates summer film series at Museo Picasso Málaga
The Museo Picasso Málaga has launched a summer film cycle tied to the exhibition "Joana Vasconcelos. Transfiguración." The Portuguese artist selected three films that resonate with her work: Busby Berkeley's "The Gang's All Here" (1943), Mervyn LeRoy's "The First Siren" (1952), and Pedro Almodóvar's "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" (1988). Screenings occur on Fridays at 9:00 PM on June 26, July 3, and July 10, 2026, in original version with Spanish subtitles. Each screening includes a pre-show visit to the exhibition and a drink in the museum garden. Tickets cost €10 and are available via the museum's website.
