Jill Nathanson's Chromatic Phrases at Vero Beach Museum of Art
The Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA) will present 'Jill Nathanson: Chromatic Phrases' from July 25 through February 7, 2027, featuring over 20 recent works by the artist. Nathanson's abstract paintings are rooted in Color Field painting of the 1960s and 1970s, exploring color as an experiential phenomenon shaped by light and perception. VBMA Chief Curator Caitlin Swindell notes the title draws a musical analogy, comparing the unfolding visual experience to a musical phrase. The exhibition is exclusive to VBMA.
