Jil Sander FW26 Campaign Shot on Mini DV by Moni Haworth

other · 2026-09-03

Jil Sander has released its Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, photographed and filmed by British photographer Moni Haworth on a mini DV camera. The campaign features models Edie Campbell and Daisuke Ueda on a private airport runway, where a dining table and sofa were placed outdoors. Creative director Simone Bellotti described the concept as conveying 'tension and surprise with the least means possible,' adding that there is 'a sense of elegance, filled with erotic electricity.' Haworth, known for her handheld, improvisational style, embraced the unpredictable weather and moving planes, capturing the collection in a grainy, desaturated VHS aesthetic. The campaign also includes a short film set to Space Afrika's 'If This Is Hell,' a track chosen after the shoot for its 'contemporary neurosis.' Haworth discussed her approach in an interview, noting that she shot with both stills and film in mind, and that she prefers 'an impressionist image more than a detailed high-resolution one.' The campaign was art-directed by Stefanie Barth and Carina Frey, with whom Haworth discussed the influence of Pina Bausch and the performance of connection via repetition. The collection itself was designed by Simone Bellotti, who has been at the helm of Jil Sander since 2023. The campaign was published on September 3, 2026, by CULTURED magazine.
