Jhon Bermond Paints With Earth in 'Culto à Terra' at Sesc Niterói
Jhon Bermond initiates his artistic journey by sourcing soil from diverse regions across Brazil for his upcoming exhibition, 'Culto à Terra'. This event will debut at Sesc Niterói on 23 October 2026 and continue until 25 January 2027. Curated by Moara Tupinambá, the exhibition showcases a variety of works, including paintings, banners, and a mural crafted with geotints alongside mineral and vegetable pigments. The earthy tones in Bermond's art draw inspiration from his rural upbringing and cultural festivals, reminiscent of cave art and Brazil's natural biomes. Tupinambá interprets this approach as a way to bridge the gap between humanity and nature. Funded by the Sesc Pulsar grant, the exhibition tackles climate issues through artistic expression. Admission is free, with visiting hours from Tuesday to Saturday, 10h to 17h, located at Rua Padre Anchieta, 56, Niterói.
