Jesse Bochco's Custom Venice Home Lists for $15 Million

Jesse Bochco, son of TV pioneer Steven Bochco, and his wife Rae Bochco have listed their custom-built Venice, Los Angeles home for $14.95 million. The 6,400-square-foot residence, completed in 2022, sits on a double lot and features five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a detached guest/pool house. Designed by architect Alexander Liberman of AML Studio, the home pays homage to midcentury modernism and architect Ray Kappe, with honest materials, simple forms, and indoor-outdoor harmony. The couple bought the first lot in 2011 for $1.25 million and the adjacent lot for $2.72 million. The property includes Western red cedar cladding, board-formed concrete, a sunken living room with a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, a walnut-paneled study, a Boffi soaking tub, and drought-tolerant landscaping by Stefan Hammerschmidt. Jesse Bochco is known for producing and directing on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Murder in the First, and previously worked on NYPD Blue with his father. The couple previously owned a Ray Kappe-designed home in Pacific Palisades. Layla Bodet of Sotheby's International Realty holds the listing.
