Jeremy Olson Creates Surreal Vitrine for Hermès Madison Avenue

Brooklyn-based artist Jeremy Olson has installed a dreamlike vitrine at Hermès's Madison Avenue flagship in New York. The installation features a luminous yellow horse, portals emerging from couch cushions, and Hermès objects like sneakers, leather goods, and a timepiece woven into surreal scenes. A mirror expands the space, inviting passersby into Olson's uncanny universe. Olson, raised in Ojai, New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona, now based in Brooklyn, spoke with Whitewall about portals, playfulness, and alternate realities. He develops ideas through drawing, 3D modeling, and digital sculpting, leaving room for chance. Olson recently wrapped a solo show at Mindy Solomon Gallery in Miami and is preparing a solo exhibition at Future Gallery in Berlin opening December 2026.
