Jensen Interceptor GTX: A Track-Only Revival of a Classic GT
The Interceptor GTX, a track-exclusive supercar, has been unveiled by Jensen International Group, marking a revival of the legendary Jensen Interceptor from the 1960s. Originally launched in 1966, the classic model showcased a Chrysler V8 engine and Italian design by Carrozzeria Touring. The new GTX, a unique prototype crafted in the UK, boasts an aluminium chassis and a supercharged 6.8-litre V8 that delivers 960bhp. Avant Design styled its exterior, which features carbon fibre elements and a sizable adjustable rear wing that produces 350kg of downforce. Inside, it includes an FIA-approved safety cage and Tillett carbon fibre seats. Jensen aims to create a street-legal version and a luxury GT model, supported by Jeff Qvale, with future pricing comparable to Aston Martin, Ferrari, and Bentley.
