Jean Faucheur Exhibits 200 Unframed Drawings at Galerie Mathgoth in Paris

exhibition · 2026-09-25

From September 24 to October 24, 2026, Galerie Mathgoth in Paris will host a free exhibition titled « à suivre », showcasing 200 drawings by Jean Faucheur. This marks Faucheur's first solo exhibition in seven years, featuring A4 sheets displayed on metal rails with magnets. Since 2022, he has produced 777 works, all of which have not been exhibited publicly until now. The selection was curated by Mathilde and Gautier Jourdain. Born in 1956 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Faucheur started his career in 1983 by pasting large artworks on billboards and co-founded the Frères Ripoulin collective in 1984. His artistic endeavors encompass sculpture, photography, and video, and he established the M.U.R. while leading the Fédération de l'art urbain, despite remaining somewhat peripheral in the art market.
