Directed by Jean-François Richet, the film was released in theaters on August 21, with Statham portraying Cole Reed, a private security officer bent on avenging the murder of Thai shipping magnate Tibu Campallo (Ramon Tikaram). In its opening weekend, it garnered $7.7 million, landing in sixth place, and saw a 64% decline to $2.7 million in its second weekend, followed by a 68% drop to $875,000 in its third.
