exhibition · 2026-06-15

Jason Shih, a Taiwanese sculptor born in 1972, has been selected as one of four winners in Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery's 33rd Solo Art Series competition. He will receive a month-long solo exhibition on the gallery's website, YouTube Channel, and in the Solo Art Series Archive, supported by a public relations campaign distributing press releases to hundreds of news outlets and social media promotion. Shih studied metal sculpture at Taipei National University of the Arts (1991) and Rochester Institute of Technology (2001), later serving as assistant to sculptor Albert Paley. He earned an Art Ph.D. from China Academy of Art in 2015. His work is influenced by Pina Bausch, Alexander McQueen, Futurism, and Constructivism, focusing on kinetic energy and gravity-defying motion. The competition required artists to submit artwork, biography, and artist statement.
