Jane Schoenbrun's Queer Slasher 'Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma' Hits UK Cinemas

Jane Schoenbrun's new film 'Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma' opens in UK cinemas on 21 August, following its New York premiere. The film, starring Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson, is a bloody and erotic tribute to the slasher genre, subverting the 'final girl' trope. Schoenbrun discusses the influence of Carol J Clover's 1992 book 'Men, Women and Chain Saws' and Linda Williams's work on their approach to horror film theory.
