architecture-design · 2026-06-27

ARoS Aarhus Art Museum will unveil 'As Seen Below – La Cúpula', a new Skyspace by James Turrell, in 2026. The installation, designed in collaboration with Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects, crowns the museum's 4,000-square-meter underground expansion. Curated by Miwa Negoro, the project is commissioned by the City of Aarhus, Culture and Citizen Services, and ARoS. The Skyspace reinforces ARoS's status as an international destination where art, architecture, and experience converge. Photographs by Adam Mørk and Tina Sørensen document the project.
