Jago Brings Sculptures to Lombardy: Palazzo Lombardia Installation and MA*GA Show

Italian sculptor Jago (born 1987 in Frosinone) is set to expand his presence in Lombardy with a new installation at Palazzo Lombardia in Milan and a major exhibition at the MA*GA Museum in Gallarate. The project, titled "Corpi Esposti," will open on November 15, 2026, and is curated by Tommaso Zijno. It is part of the regional initiative "L'arte non è mai un'isola," promoted by the Lombardy Region's Culture Department, which allocates €6.05 million to cultural projects. The MA*GA-led proposal received €100,000 in regional funding out of a total project cost of €304,162. The exhibition will juxtapose Jago's contemporary works with historical pieces by Italian artists from the 20th century onward. This follows Jago's summer project on Capri, where he reopened Villa Lysis as a second location of his Jago Museum, featuring his viral sculpture "Medusa" modeled on actress Whoopi Goldberg's face, inaugurated in late July. Earlier in 2025, Jago sparked debate in Milan with his "Natura morta" (2025) displayed alongside Caravaggio's "Canestra di frutta" at the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana. The new installation at Palazzo Lombardia explores the relationship between the solidity of matter and the fluidity of time.
