Jaebum Joo's Pixel Paintings and Sculptures at Hakgojae Gallery, Seoul

Seoul-based artist Jaebum Joo translates personal memories into pixelated forms across painting, sculpture, and installation. His current exhibition at Hakgojae Gallery in Seoul, running in 2026, showcases works like 'Almost Someone', 'Resolution 50', 'Golden Flicker', 'Holding the Blue', and 'Extended Horizon'. Joo, who studied animation and worked in related companies before becoming a 'pixelist', explores how images dissolve into individual units upon close viewing, leaving room for interpretation.
