IWC Marks 50 Years of Gérald Genta's Ingenieur SL with Two Limited Editions
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ingenieur SL, Reference 1832, designed by Gérald Genta, IWC has introduced two limited-edition stainless steel timepieces. The 50th Anniversary models, Ingenieur Automatic 40 and 35, showcase a silver-plated dial with vertical brushing, rhodium-plated hands, and a "50" positioned at 6 o'clock. The 40 mm variant is powered by the IWC Caliber 32111, offering a 120-hour power reserve, while the 35 mm model features Caliber 47110 with a 42-hour reserve. Each edition is limited to 1,150 units, priced at $15,000 and $12,900, respectively. Genta originally designed the Ingenieur SL in 1976, which had modest success. Alexia Genta commended IWC for honoring her father's legacy.
