Italian Modern Masters Featured in Christie's Paris Auctions with Preview Exhibitions in Italy
Christie's Paris will highlight Italian 20th-century artists in its April 2026 auctions, featuring works by Mario Schifano and Salvatore Scarpitta. The 'Thinking Italian' section within the '20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale' on April 15 will include Schifano's 1963 'Untitled' (€120,000-180,000 estimate) from Maurizio Calvesi's collection and his 1964 'View beyond the Hudson River (To Anita Pallenberg), Gigli d’acqua' (€200,000-300,000).
