Isabel Muñoz's "Somos Agua" Makes French Debut at Galerie Daltra Biarritz
From September 18 to November 1, 2026, Galerie Daltra in Biarritz will host "Somos Agua," marking Isabel Muñoz's inaugural exhibition in France of her underwater photography series developed over the past decade. The acclaimed Spanish photographer, who won the National Photography Prize in 2016, collaborated with Japanese freediver Ai Futaki during her ten years of exploration. This collection showcases human forms intertwined with marine creatures, emphasizing the urgent issues surrounding marine conservation. This event also commemorates the 40th anniversary of her first solo exhibition, "Toques," in 1986, and features a retrospective of her prints. Known for her large-format platinum prints, Muñoz's work is part of significant collections, and she was elected to the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in 2024. A vernissage is scheduled for September 19, from 18h to 21h.
