Iris van Herpen Turns Vineyard Sound into Gold and Silk for Perrier-Jouët
Iris van Herpen, a Dutch designer, captured sounds from the Champagne vineyards located in Ambonnay and Cramant, employing cymatics for a sculptural project commissioned by Maison Perrier-Jouët. The resulting piece, Symphonic Bloom, encases a rare jeroboam of Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque 1988 in silk and recycled 22-carat gold, drawing inspiration from the costumes of dancer Loïe Fuller and an Art Nouveau lamp by Raoul Larche. Additionally, a second version named Symphonic Life is limited to ten pieces, featuring a magnum of Belle Époque 1999. Van Herpen also redesigned the bottle and gift box for a special edition of Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque 2018. This collaboration commenced in December 2025, with exhibitions at Tokyo Gendai in September 2026 and a presentation at The Peninsula Paris on October 21st.
