Irene Kopelman Examines Peña Carrias Geology in 'Silueta y otras historias' at Artium Museoa
The exhibition 'Silueta y otras historias' is on display at Artium Museoa in Vitoria-Gasteiz until March 27, 2027. It highlights Irene Kopelman's two decades of research into territories, along with new works by Peña Carrias from Álava. Curated by Beatriz Herráez, the show features earlier creations and a substantial selection of Kopelman's published works. Born in 1974, Kopelman has partnered with geologist Arturo Apraiz to explore limestone formations through various mediums including drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. After relocating to the Netherlands in 2002, she has concentrated on depicting natural and cultural landscapes. Additionally, Artium has published issue 31 of the '#Hitzak' series, showcasing a dialogue between Kopelman and Herráez. The exhibition is set to move to Tenerife next year.
