Intimate Imaginaries: Major Survey of Arts Project Australia Artists Tours Nationally

"Intimate Imaginaries," put together by Anthony Fitzpatrick at the TarraWarra Museum of Art, is the first major touring exhibit featuring artists from Arts Project Australia (APA), which focuses on helping neurodivergent and intellectually disabled individuals. This showcase includes 13 talented artists: Fulli Andrinopoulos, Samraing Chea, Alan Constable, Wendy Dawson, Bronwyn Hack, Julian Martin, Chris O'Brien, Lisa Reid, Anthony Romagnano, Mark Smith, Cathy Staughton, Georgia Szmerling, and Terry Williams. Their work spans painting, drawing, ceramics, soft sculpture, and video, featuring O'Brien's 'The Cop Shop' (2021). The tour begins at Pinnacles Gallery in Townsville from June 20 to October 4, moving across New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, and the ACT until mid-2029, backed by NETS Victoria. Fitzpatrick's curation is influenced by his past work with APA artists in the 2017 exhibit 'Faraway, so close.'
